Hi, I’m Amy

I formed Amy’s A Cut Above Creations in 2019 from my home in Pennsylvania. I have always been passionate about my artistic endeavors, having tried various mediums before finding my favorite, epoxy resin.

My resin journey started with tumblers and believe it or not, it was a mess and I gave up. Fast forward a year or so when I really wanted to give handmade Christmas gifts to my friends. I had started seeing resin more and more on social media and decided to give it another go. I settled on making alcohol ink coasters and set out to find as much information and tutorials as I could before I got started. I searched YouTube and Instagram and watched hours of videos until I felt prepared. I loaded up my Amazon cart, went to Michaels, and was ready to begin. I made eight coasters before I made the ones I was planning to gift to my friends. I am a firm believer in practice when it comes to anything.

I then found The Maker Meetup, a community of artists brought together by Mas epoxies. Through this community I was challenged to try new and bigger things with my art, to reach new heights and share the journey. I continue to grow and share the process. I now share regular resin tips for those just starting out, along with process videos of how I create most of my work.

I am excited be able to teach you all the ins and outs of how to create with epoxy resin. I am filling each blog and course (coming soon) with as many details and tips to give you the best advantage. Cheers to what we have already learned and to what still awaits us!

Art Journey

I am so happy that you have found your way here and hope that we can grow and learn together on this art journey.

This video is some highlights from when I first started through now. Its funny to see how sped up I made those first videos. I hope they look better and are much more enjoyable now.
